Try this flick … “Where Eagles Dare.” Here’s a very underrated World War II movie and it has (then) superstar Richard Burton and superstar (to be) Clint Eastwood as its headliners. Although “Where Eagles Dare” is a WWII movie, it is much more an espionage movie and has many twists and turns in the plot and so it will keep you (somewhat) guessing. Actually, you get to see Clint kill a whole bunch of enemy soldiers in “Where Eagles Dare,” but the gunplay and violence never really detract from the film. You’ll never be disappointed watching either Burton or Eastwood (well, almost never) and “Where Eagles Dare” is a sterling film that features both.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
