Try this flick … “The Hangover” and its utterly unwatchable sequels. “The Hangover” is, without a doubt, one of the great comedies in Hollywood history. It has it all: “The Hangover” is profane; it is vulgar right through the ending credits; it kicks the audience in the … gut; and the actors do a top-of-resume work throughout. However, the sequels are just plain garbage. You might understand that “The Hangover Part II” would be bad. I mean, after all, when you follow one of the funniest-ever R-rated comedies in history, how can you live up to the hype? Well, the first sequel was an embarrassment and the second was dreck unworthy of comment. So, watch “The Hangover,” but avoid the others.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
