Try this flick … “The Guns of Navarone.” Here is a great motion picture that happens to be framed by World War II. Yes, there are great “war” movies, but seldom do you find the level of top-notch acting that you’ll find in “The Guns of Navarone.” Plus, the acting is elevated by an intricate plot that allows the actors to do their best – not always what you find when a best-selling novel is translated to the big screen. In any case, you’ll truly find remarkable the efforts of Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn in “The Guns of Navarone.” It was nominated for seven Oscars and, sadly, only managed to win one. In any case, watch “The Guns of Navarone” … it’s easy to find and you won’t be disappointed.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
