Try this flick … “The Wanderers.” OK, so I just recommended one gang movie from 1979 (“The Warriors”) and now I’ll recommend the other, which is a superior motion picture. “The Wanderers” tells the story of a group of guys in an Italian gang in New York in the early 1960s. Of course, they have their travails in this somewhat coming-of-age story. “The Wanderers” addresses many issues and does it with aplomb. “The Wanderers” doesn’t have some saccharine ending – the boys’ lives play out more realistically than in many other similar films. So, find “The Wanderers” and enjoy them!
