Try this flick … “The Bedford Incident.” Here’s a sensational Cold War thriller with a top-shelf cast (Sidney Poitier, Richard Widmark and Martin Balsam, just to name three) that is set aboard a U.S. destroyed in the far North Atlantic. Its crew is searching for a Russian submarine that is intruding into the area. In “The Bedford Incident,” the story is about how the ship’s captain is a control freak who has his crew on edge all the time. It plays out with Poitier as a magazine writer who is doing a profile of the captain. You won’t be disappointed in any way with “The Bedford Incident,” if you can find it.
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
