H20ween … ‘The Night Flier’ (Stephen King story); ‘They Live’ (from John Carpenter)

It’s H20ween coming! … and now it’s my horror movie recommendations for this H20ween season! Let’s start off with a pair of lightweights … “The Night Flier” and “They Live.” Of course, “They Live” is by the legendary John Carpenter and you’ll see another of his films recommended later this Halloween season of 2020. Still, “They Live,” while more sci-fi than horror with aliens as the horror element, is just OK. The same evaluation is true for “The Night Flier,” which is a vampire tale from a story by Stephen King. Both have great creative roots, but bringing them to the big screen … well, isn’t really a good effort by either side. In all fairness, the vampire in “The Night Flier” is a nice, scary version of a vampire. You’ll enjoy both if you enjoy horror. Enjoy!

So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
