Try this flick … the reboot of “Going in Style.” Here’s yet another example where the sequel, with a great cast, just doesn’t measure up to the original. “Going in Style” is about retirees who commit a robbery. In the reboot’s case from 2017, it’s to get back at a greedhead corporation giving the shaft to its retirees while enriching its soulless executives (just another Wall Street success story this day and age). It all winds up on a happy note Well, “Going in Style” shouldn’t have been re-made. The original addressed more than just the issue of the elderly getting the shaft … it was a real motion picture that examined the entire spectrum of the plight of the elderly. I hope director Zach Braff steps up his game in the future.
