Try this flick … “The Quick and the Dead.” Here’s a vanity western starring Sharon Stone. I write “vanity” because Stone was behind the entire production and even selected the director. “The Quick and the Dead” is about a deadly tournament for gunfighters in the Old West. It has some great parts and some bad ones and, overall, it doesn’t grade out that well. However, “The Quick and the Dead” is a showcase piece for Gene Hackman, who’s an actor’s actor as well as nice turns by Russell Crowe and a young(er) Leonardo DiCaprio in his fourth film. So, you’ll easily find “The Quick and the Dead” … watch it!
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
