Try this flick … “Romancing the Stone” and “The Jewel of the Nile.” I always will wonder why Hollywood can’t consistently produce fun, adventure films such as “Stone” and “Nile.” Both were Top 10 at the box office and both were rollicking fun. Today? There’s 90-percent crap released today and, well, the PC police rule and the storyline(s) from “Stone” and “Nile” aren’t exactly passing the PC test. Fuggetaboutit! Sit back and enjoy both … Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito are all simply sensational and you won’t be disappointed in either one. Of course, the original is best, but you’ll smile for both! BTW … remember that the “stone” is a jewel, but the “jewel” isn’t a stone. 😊
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
