Try this flick … “Spy” with Melissa McCarthy. Here’s an action film that has great action, but also great sarcastic remarks from a variety of characters. However, this is McCarthy’s movie and she does an outstanding job. In “Spy,” she’s a deskbound CIA analyst who goes into the field. Once there, she just pinballs from one situation to another and one city to another. An f-bomb is dropped all the time in “Spy,” but Melissa pulls it off with verve. “Spy” is much better than most of the dreck shoveled out these days by Hollywood, so sit back and enjoy it – you’ll be laughing before you know it. Oh, and watch out for the ending to a knife fight on a roof – McCarthy kicks ass and then …
So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
