Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas movies ’20: Today, try the ‘Home Alone(s)’

Try this(ese) flick(s) … “Home Alone(s).” At first I didn’t want to fall into line and say “Home Alone” and then it its sequel “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” are Christmas films. Of course, both are set at Christmas and the holiday is at the heart of each, but I don’t like convention. Still, I’ve changed my opinion: The “Home Alones(s)” are Christmas flicks – and I don’t count “Home Alone 3” in the same genres. Naturally, “Home Alone(s)” was (were) big hits and continue to get plenty of play every Christmas season, but each is a special film in its own way. I know you don’t need to be told, but the story revolves about a boy left home (in the original) and then misdirected at the airport as his family heads to vacation. Enough written about the plots. Thank both director Chris Columbus and the late John Hughes for making these special. I’m sure you’ve already watched (or are watching now), both the “Home Alone(s).”

So, I’m doing a sometimes recommendation of a movie or TV show … and they’re all movies or TV shows that I’ve reviewed on this blog.
