Watch It! So, what to recommend today? Let’s go with “Murph the Surf.” Here’s a movie that’s more like a TV flick than a big-screen motion picture, but it’s a load of fun to watch – especially because of its star, the late Robert Conrad. “Murph the Surf” is the story of Miami beachboy-turned-jewel-thief Jack “Murph the Surf” Murphy and his friend. The friend is Allan Kuhn and Conrad plays this character as the one who claims to be the mastermind behind it all. The duo (there were four in real life) steal the Star of India sapphire from a New York Museum – the biggest jewel heist of the day. “Murph the Surf” has lots of flaws, but you’ll enjoy it if you can find it. It’s also called “Live a Little Steal a Lot.” The real “Murph the Surf” died at 83 in September 2020 in Crystal River, Fla. So, if you are interested … Watch It!
