Watch It! “Tough Guys” was an interesting movie when it was released in 1986, but, sadly, it wasn’t very good then and never had a chance of standing the test of time. “Tough Guys” is a vehicle for then-aged Burt Lancaster (73 at the film’s release) and Kirk Douglas (then 69) as two criminals released from prison after 30 years. Lancaster is the older and is placed into a home for seniors, while Douglas is introduced to the world of hourly wage workers. Uh, oh! While both are “Tough Guys,” they each have their own bit of trouble with things as they are and then there’s this nearly-blind hitman looking to be their past catching up with them. “Tough Guys” is creative and has a great cast, but it never makes it. The film looks tired today, but go ahead and … Watch It!
