Watch It! It’s a dance movie, but it is also much, much more. Try “All That Jazz” and learn about the life and tribulations of the late, legendary Bob Fosse. He wrote and then executed “All That Jazz” after a heart attack in the 1970s and the film is pretty much an autobiography. “All That Jazz” has a post-“Jaws” Roy Scheider in the role of “Joe Gideon” (Fosse) and he’s brilliant, a womanizer and a serial liar (and he admits it). I don’t know if “All That Jazz” captures the true essence of Fosse, but Bob was tops – he won in 1973 an Oscar, a Tony and an Emmy as director in three separate productions. Wow, sorry that Bob left us too early at 60 in 1987 of a heart attack that followed the one that led him to making “All That Jazz.” In any case, “All That Jazz” is a wonderful dance movie with an R-rating – although not a film for kids, it’s one that’s not deserving an R-rating in today’s profane, vulgar market. Sit back and just enjoy this one and do nothing but … Watch It!
