Watch It! “The Night Strangler” is an unusual … well, sequel. It is the story of a newspaper reporter (remember newspapers?) finding out the facts of a serial killer who has struck many times over decades. “The Night Strangler” is the sequel to the absolutely outstanding “The Night Stalker” vampire move that was made for TV. In “The Night Strangler,” the reporter, played well by veteran character actor Darren McGavin, has moved on from Las Vegas to Seattle and finds himself again embroiled in a controversial set of killings that the “establishment” wants to cover up. Well, don’t put “Kolchak” on the case unless you want it in print (remember, this was nearly 50 years ago and the “internet” was just a figment of folks’ imagination. In any case, check out “The Night Stalker” (it also has the bad woman on a bicycle from “The Wizard of Oz”) and … Watch It!
