Watch It! “The Enforcer” is the third “Dirty Harry” film and it shows just how even outstanding, iconic films can be followed by dreck. “The Enforcer’s” quality drops off precipitously after the original and first sequel (“Magnum Force”) and the two that followed were even worse than “The Enforcer.” Here is the story of Eastwood again battling incompetent bureaucrats as well as domestic terrorists. In “The Enforcer,” he gets a new partner in the form of Tyne Daly … but she’s getting a promotion because she’s a woman and the police department is working hard to promote women (but she doesn’t even have one arrest, as she has been a records clerk). However, Daly does an outstanding job in “The Enforcer” and you’ll enjoy her work so … Watch It!
