Watch It! “A Bridge Too Far” is one of those big-screen spectacle films that any war movie buff needs to see (or, most likely, has seen). “A Bridge Too Far” has every actor in Hollywood – or just about – from the 1970s in it. Robert Redford, Michael Caine, Sean Connery and Gene Hackman just to name a few, headline “A Bridge Too Far.” It’s the story of a failed mission at the end of World War II (an ill-conceived ventured by the over-cautious Field Marshal Montgomery, who usually planned an operation only when he had the supplies to assure victory). Just as you had “The Great Escape” and “Battle of the Bulge” in the 1960s, the “spectacle” film was alive in 1977 with this one. “A Bridge Too Far” is easy to find, so get out there today and … Watch It!
