Watch It! Horror for Hall021een? Today? “The Night Stalker” and “The Night Strangler” are two the best-ever TV horror movies! The first, “Stalker” is about a vampire that comes to Las Vega. In the second, the “Strangler” is operating (again) in Seattle. Both movies star Darren McGavin and he’s great as the newspaper reporter (remember those?) who turns up the stories about the vampire and the strangler. Don’t be fooled by the TVish-productions of the day … these are good, scary flicks (and in neat supporting-cast news, “Strangler” has the bad witch from “Wizard of Oz,” while “Stalker” has “Maj. Frank Burns” from TV’s “M*A*S*H”). The only TV movie about vampires that can touch “Stalker” is “Salem’s Lot” from a Stephen King novel. So, get out there and get both “The Night Stalker” and “The Night Strangler” and … Watch It!
