Watch It! “The Distinguished Gentleman” is a political comedy-commentary from 1999 that’s just as relevant today as it was the year it was released. “The Distinguished Gentleman” is the story of a Miami-based con man (Eddie Murphy) who parlays the death of an incumbent member of the U.S. Congress and his similar name to a seat of power in Washington D.C. at the table of the biggest con game going in the country – politics. Since “The Distinguished Gentleman” is an Eddie Murphy film, you know it has its light and comedic moments, but you might be surprised at the depth of criticism of our political system. Times and politicians don’t really change, but I’d like to have Eddie on my side in Washington. Find “The Distinguished Gentleman” and … Watch it!
