Looking on the big screen at your home today, take the time to check out “Turk 182.” Here’s an interesting “little” movie that was a bomb at the box office (it finished behind the execrable “Gymkata” with Olympian Kurt Thomas), but is a wonderful story that is uplifting while being a somewhat dark drama. “Turk 182” is the story of a young man whose brother is disrespected by the mayor of New York City and the young man extracts revenge … first with petty vandalism and moving on up to changing a scoreboard during a pro football game. “Turk 182” was made by the director also responsible for “A Christmas Story” and “Porky’s” and you’ll truly enjoy this little-remembered gem.
I’m sure that you will have some trouble finding “Turk 182” and it will be worth it for your “big screen” at home!
