A new high school will open here in Collier County, Fla., in August 2023. It is under construction now and the district school board is accepting nominations for the name of the school and will vote on the name in September 2022. You can submit your choice, but I don’t believe the winner will be along the lines of the “Boaty McBoatface” issue that previously rocked the internet (maybe “Schooly McSchoolface”?) and left officials in the UK with egg on their collective faces when they refused to name a ship “Boaty McBoatface” after offering an online poll to choose its name. In any case, I got this shot of the construction site of the new high school west of Livingston Road near the North Naples Middle School. I got this shot on Aug. 21, 2022. Click here to enter your proposed name for the school … (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
