OK! It’s the season of Halloween 2022! I’m doing a countdown of my 17 favorite horror flicks that I’ve reviewed for my blog … and today’s finds us at No. 6: “Terror Train.” Here is one of the most underrated of horror flicks you’ll find. “Terror Train” is one of three horror films released in 1980 that stars modern day “Scream Queen” Jamie Lee Curtis – the others are “Prom Night” and “The Fog.” Curtis was two years past her legendary performance in “Halloween” and three years before her breakout role in “Trading Places” (click here for my review) when “Terror Train” rolled into the station. It is the story of revenge on college students during a trip on a train by seniors who pulled a prank on someone a couple of years earlier. Of course, college student victims are a “what else?” in the horror film world. However, “Terror Train” is clever, actually develops characters and should keep you guessing just a little bit.
There’s gore and violence “Terror Train,” yet, the film doesn’t wallow in gut-churning special effects!
You shouldn’t have any trouble finding “Terror Train” at this Halloween time!
Check back tomorrow for No. 5 …
