It’s a sad commentary that the Naples Police Department has this sign at a local mall as a warning for shoppers to be careful because of thieves. Of course, no community’s law enforcement agency can keep watch on every parking lot for thieves, but the saddest commentary is that theft is so prevalent that we have to put signs up about it. Sigh. Well, remember to lock up and hide packages in your vehicle while you shop. I got the shots of the sign on Dec. 15, 2022, as I drove to work here in Naples, Fla.
