Today’s “must” movie is the sci-fi action classic “Predator” with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Although this one has the “predator” monster as the key component of the film, “Predator” is as much a combat film as it is a deserving sci-fi classic. You get action, action and then more action with this one!
In “Predator,” you get an alien that comes to Earth and begins hunting whatever humans it manages to come across in a jungle in the region of Central America. An espionage subplot brings Arnie and his commando team into the area and soon they’re targets for the alien.
Of course, Arnie figures it all out and the climactic scene is his one-on-one showdown with the alien.
You’ll enjoy that “Predator’s” small cast does a solid job and you’ll especially enjoy the work of Sonny Landham and Jesse Ventura as members of the commando team. Bill Duke and Carl Weathers do the best supporting work, but Landham and Ventura are too much over-the-top to be ignored.
“Predator” will be easy for you to find on a streaming service and is most likely in your DVD or Blu-Ray library. So, get out there today and find “Predator” … you’ll enjoy it again. I guarantee it!
