Bye, bye to new 4K dashcam that’s problematic … welcome back to an old favorite!

I recently bought a new dashcam, but found out quickly that new (and 4K) doesn’t always mean the best. The new cam’s wi-fi feature to transfer video clips was wonky at worst and totally problematical at best. So, I sent the new dashcam back and bought another Chortau dashcam. The beauty of the Chortau basic cam is that it is easy to use and inexpensive at $40 – it doesn’t have many features, but it is easy to transfer files to my computer. My last one lasted 16 months and I’ll take an easy-to-use device over a problematic high-tech one any day. Here’s a shot of my new-old dashcam taken while I was on an errand in a downpour today (Saturday, July 1, 2023) here in Naples, Fla.
