I’ve posted many photos of my ever-changing crew of “desk buddies” at the office whee I work, but today I’m showing you my office … top. Yes, a top. It is small as you can see in comparison to the end of my Montblanc Traveler fountain pen, but it can spin for more than three minutes! Of course, there are bigger tops that can go for 10 minutes or longer, but my little “desk buddy cousin” is a lot of fun! Technically it is the “Rienar Accurate Spinning Top, Vintage Totem Zinc Alloy Silver Toy Gift” and it is still out there for sale. I got this shot of the top and my pen at our home here in Naples, Fla., on Aug. 7, 2023. (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
