Today is the 22nd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States that cost the lives of nearly 3,000 in four assaults by Arab terrorists using hijacked commercial airliners on 9/11/2001. So, for today (Monday, Sept. 11, 2023), on this Patriot Day, all U.S. flags should have flown at half-staff (or half-mast, if they were on a vessel). I got this shot today, 9/11/2023, of the flags at the entrance to the Headquarters branch of the Collier County Public Library. The HQ library branch always follows U.S. flag protocols and today is no exception. I got this shot while on a late afternoon errand near our home here in Naples, Fla.
