One of my favorite authors had a new novel “drop” today at bookstores and with e-readers such as Kindle. I have all of Carl Hiaasen’s novels and various other works in first editions, so it was to be expected that I’d get “Wrecker” today (Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023) on both my Kindle(s) and in hardback form. Here’s the hardback version as it takes its place with Hiaasen’s other works on one of my bookshelves. “Wrecker” is one of Hiaasen’s works for “young readers,” along with “Hoot” and others in the genre – although, I’ll say anyone would enjoy any of these “young readers” novels. I got this shot at our home here in Naples, Fla., on Sept. 26, 2023. (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
