Today’s “must” movie is “The Way of the Dragon” with Bruce Lee. Here’s a great martial arts flick starring the incomparable Bruce Lee and, despite its bad dubbing, you’ll enjoy it tremendously (as long as you’re a fan of martial arts flicks).
As a matter of fact, “The Way of the Dragon” was released in the U.S. the year after Lee’s seminal and iconic “Enter the Dragon.” However, it was originally released in Hong Kong the year before “Enter the Dragon.” Of course, U.S. marketers named it “Return of the Dragon” to hide this chronological fact, but real Bruce Lee fans were not fooled.
“The Way of the Dragon” has a bunch of fights and Bruce kicks serious ass in this one (no kidding). It’s the story of a martial arts specialist who goes to Rome to help keep gangsters away from a Chinese restaurant. In the end, it comes to a showdown between Lee and a rare bad-guy role from Chuck Norris, who was one of Bruce’s students in real life.
Still, the plot doesn’t matter much as long as you get to see Bruce Lee fight. He choreographed the fight scenes and does a solid job on screen since you want to see him in every scene.
You won’t have much trouble finding “The Way of the Dragon” as it makes the rounds on movie networks … and you’ll have fun with it. I guarantee it!
