Hey everybody, it’s movie time! I’m re-writing the words from the start of a Styx hit song and saying today is “movie time!” For movie time today, let’s watch the seriously funny “Just Go With It” starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman. Of course, “Just Go With It” is funny, but it is also endearing and a much better overall motion picture than you would initially imagine.
If you are not a fan of Sandler, please consider putting aside that prejudice and check out “Just Go With It.” The one scene that I enjoyed the most in a film with a bunch of great scenes is when Aniston and Kidman get real with each other near the end of the film. This one scene makes the entire film better.
In “Just Go With It,” Sandler plays a womanizing plastic surgeon who finds the love of his life in a much younger woman (played by Brooklyn Decker). However, he’s still wearing a wedding ring from his failed engagement when he was younger. She spots it and now he has to explain it.
Enter Aniston as his longsuffering medical assistant, who gets bribed into playing the “wife” who is about to divorce him. Toss in her two kids, his babbling cousin and Kidman as Aniston’s nemesis from college … and you have a comedy movie! The majority of the film is when the whole extended “family” goes to Hawaii on vacation.
Well, I don’t want to spoil too much for those who haven’t seen “Just Go With It.” You’ll have no trouble finding “Just Go With It” and will enjoy it immensely … I guarantee it!
