It’s sad that so few flags are flying at half-staff today (Sunday, May 5, 2024) on this National Fallen Firefighters Memorial day as part of the memorial weekend. I had to drive around a bit here in Naples, Fla., near our home to find a flag flying at half-staff in accordance with U.S. flag protocol. It was at a senior community, while others, including local government buildings, were at full-staff.
