Don’t let the calendar fool you into believing we’re out of “hurricane season” right now. Yes, the official 2024 Atlantic hurricane season doesn’t officially end until Nov. 30, but for those of us native Floridians, we usually become complacent each November. Not any longer! Here’s a screen-shot of the so-called “spaghetti plot” or “spaghetti model” of computer programs that predict the path of tropical storms and hurricanes. It got it this morning (Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024) off the my laptop at our home here in Naples, Fla., and it shows the latest storm “Rafael” as it tracks into the Gulf of Mexico.
