Today (Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025) is national Peking Duck Day. It’s a day for us in the U.S. to celebrate the national dish of China. While Peking duck is served at many Chinese restaurants across the United States, we had Peking duck … in Beijing – which is the former Peking in western parlance. It was in 2007 and we were on a trip to China for our son’s high school marching band. I’m using this photo of the entrance to the Forbidden City in Beijing to illustrate today’s post! Click here to see all our photos during that trip to China … (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
