Hey! The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has a new(er) decoy vehicle to deter bad driving and speeding! Here’s a decoy cruiser parked on a North Naples, Fla., median and it has been moved to different locations near Pelican Marsh Elementary School in the past couple of weeks. I drive in the area frequently and noted that many speeders apparently had mini-strokes when they saw it because of the brake lights. For decoys, the CCSO usually uses very old Ford Crown Victoria cruisers that are easy to spot. Here’s a more modern Ford cruiser. I got this shot near our home via a cam in my vehicle yesterday (Friday, Jan. 31, 2025) and the streak of light is reflection from the sun overhead.
