It’s springtime and I saw my first mother duck and her ducklings yesterday (Monday, April 7, 2025) near our home here in Naples, Fla. I stopped my car to let the brood cross the road and got this shot while stopped. Sadly, most of the ducklings will fall prey to predators such as an alligator, a snake or even a hawk. Still, seeing the little flock is a nice reminder of the spring. (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
