I didn’t see anything snarky or funny or sports-themed from this license tag, but I wanted to present it on my blog as a reminder of the organization comprised of “Masons.” It is the Freemasonry specialty plate from the state of Florida. Freemasonry has experienced a lack of growth and diminishment of membership in recent years and I only on occasion see this tag (or someone with a license plate frame for the Masons) across Southwest Florida. Some online sources report approximately 875,000 Masons in the U.S. today (June 2025) as compared to 4 million in the U.S. in the late 1950s. Across the globe, currently there are approximately 6 million members. I got this shot while stopped at a red light here in Naples, Fla., on June 11, 2025.
