Today (Monday, July 7, 2025) was – and I note WAS because of the timing of my post at night – world Chocolate Day. Here’s what an online source says: “Some like it dark and bitter, others smooth and sweet, but no matter what your flavor preference this World Chocolate Day, on July 7, join us in taking a bite. The cacao bean, which is responsible for that unmistakably rich flavor we know and love so well, is native to Mexico as well as South- and Central America but has been transplanted into the U.S. and some European countries to match the high consumer demand for this delicacy.” So, here’s a Dove bar that I enjoyed today for its chocolate! I got this shot at our home here in Naples, Fla., on July 7, 2025. (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
