Today (Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026) is national Hug Your Puppy Day! However, our “puppy” is our daughter’s family’s adult German Shepherd, but we count him as a puppy and always hug him no matter what the date. Dogs have played a key role in most of our family’s childhoods and puppies are the best! I got this photo of our “granddog” Bucky in November of 2024.
