In case you hadn’t noticed, every April 11 (and today is Saturday, April 11, 2026) is “Poutine Day!” In case you didn’t know, “poutine” is a now classical, traditional and somewhat legendary food of Quebec and French Canadians first introduced in the late 1950s: Large-cut fries with gravy and cheese curds. A few years ago, I made “poutine” my then-called “word of the day.” When I sat down at Disney Springs on March 30, 2019, I noticed The Daily Poutine shop. So, on this “Poutine Day” in 2026, I’m reviving my photo! (Remember: Click on the small image for a bigger version – then click on that one for the full-size photo.)
