National Park Service Founders Day is observed every year on August 25. Since today is Aug. 25, 2026, the “holiday” recognizes the superior conservation and preservation efforts of the National Parks System. Although we have Everglades National Park here in Collier County in Florida, members of our family visited Arches National Park in 2003. We traveled to Colorado to ski at Winter Park and during the trip did the trek to Utah to visit Arches. It was simply spectacular, as you can see from my photos.
