Welcome back to my blog. Here’s my recommendation of a movie to check out today and hope you punch your “Ticket to the Movies!” OK, let’s go in to a kitchen or kitchens with “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? with George Segal and Jacqueline Bisset. It’s a whodunit with a mild twist at the end you might see arriving, but, then again, you might not!

What you will get with “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?” is a wonderfully fun flick with a bunch of murders, but little violence. You also get a bit of droll humor that culminates with a culinary reference followed by Segal being called a “silly nit!”

“Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?” is about high cuisine and its chefs … and the best of the best are being murdered. Central to the plot is Bissett, who is the world’s top pastry chef, and her ex-husband, played by Segal, who float around high-end dining while developing markets for a fast-food franchise.

Along the way, you get snooty chefs, oversexed chefs and talented chefs who meet their end in the fashion of their signature cooking: from a duck press to an oven to even a lobster tank for the unfortunate seafood specialist.

OK, already then!

“Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?” is just marvelous because of the actors and how they convey their characters, from Segal’s basic personality that fully embraces insouciance to Bisset’s enjoyment of life to even Robert Morley’s blustering characterization of the obese food critic with no filter.

Stick around to the end of “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?” as you might solve the case early, but might be distracted until the end by Segal’s hijinks while he pursues Bisset in expectation of a reunion.

So, I say punch your “Ticket to the Movies!” and watch “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?” It is available on a very limited number of streaming platforms. You will thank me later, if you find and watch “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?”
