The election for 2026 culminates on Nov. 3, but mail-in ballots have been sent. Unfortunately, the general election also brings political sewage backing up into our mailboxes, phones and email accounts. With the primary past us, the latest wave of sludge has arrived and my mailbox is a daily repository for useless mailings by candidates. I took this photo today (Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026) at our home here in Naples, Fla. I have attempted to obscure the identity of candidates sending this swill, as I’m not making individual political statements, just that election seasons should clog mailboxes, phones or email with candidates’ rhetoric.
