Today’s view of license plates takes us from sports to outer space! The top photo of a Corvette is dark because I took it at night, but I managed to capture the “BOOUA” as a reminder of the iconic phrase coined by late ESPN sportscaster Stuart Scott, who died all too young of cancer at 49 in 2015. Equally legendary and iconic is “HAN5OLO” (well, the “5” represents an “S” on the tag) as the owner of the Tesla in the bottom photo obviously realizes – and they should also realize the vehicle needs a wash. Of course, “Han Solo” is a primary character in the “Star Wars” franchise. I took the photo of the ’Vette’s tag on Oct. 10, 2026, and the one of the Tesla on Oct. 12, 2026.
