OK, it’s time to go a little hysterical! We’re only 45 days until the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Uh, oh! All the “experts” have weighed in after Dr. William Gray and his team just issued their annual report of a so-called “normal” season (click here to read a story about it). Well, good for them. However, they’re usually wrong, but not guessing the weather correctly never hurt a forecaster’s career.
Well from this Hurricane Hysteri(a)cs author, who has no metorological training, I’ll say it’s going to be above average (here come the hysterics!) because of our unusual weather in January. Things have been messed up weather-wise this whole winter and now we’re going to see a more active hurricane season.
All I can do is hope no one suffers because of a storm and that none make landfall near populated areas. Good luck this season, folks! Don’t forget, here are two key links to the most important hurricane websites for the season – you optimists can probably wait until August (the prime warm-up time for storms), but the pessimists know that the season is also likely to get busy early. Here are the links:

The Weather Underground’s hurricane and tropical page
