Today, Dec. 16, 2017, and it is an anniversary for the start of the final major battle of World War II for U.S. troops against Nazi Germany. As time continues to take its inexorable toll on the Greatest Generation, I’m here to remind with today’s movie suggestion that today is the 73rd anniversary of the beginning of the iconic Battle of the Bulge in World War II. Because war battles’ names and movies usually dovetail perfectly, my suggestion today is “Battle of the Bulge.” Germany’s army did a surprise attack through the Belgian forest called the Ardennes for the second time in the war and the Americans’ battle back became legendary. “Battle of the Bulge” is a big-screen spectacle and is the sixth-most watched review I’ve posted on my blog (it is the 24th most-popular page on my blog as of today’s date).
