Wonderful Tabebuia shows sign of Hurricane Irma’s damage

My favorite tree I see each season is the Tabebuia. Although you’ll see other colors, the one I enjoy most is the one with yellow blooms (or, officially “gold” as in this Tabebuia chrysotricha). I know it is Masters golf season when they bloom. I got this shot on March 28, 2015, in the neighborhood next to ours in Naples, Fla.

My favorite tree I see each spring season is the Tabebuia. There’s a really special one in the neighborhood next to ours here in Naples, Fla., that I always enjoy. However, this year it shows the damage from last September’s Hurricane Irma. The photo above is what I saw March 10, 2018. The smaller photo is from March 2015. Quite a difference. Don’t be deceived by the trees in the background as they make the Tabebuia look fuller than it is.
