My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Days of Thunder.” The film is a Tom Cruise vehicle, but it will surprise you. Tony Scott was in the director’s chair of “Days of Thunder” and while Cruise has to play a Californian coming into the oh-so-Southern sport of NASCAR (he’s about as Southern as I’m a Martian), the film doesn’t denigrate NASCAR or the South. “Days of Thunder” is worth watching and, if you might listen to Quentin Tarantino, it is truly watchable. Check out “Days of Thunder” … just one more example of Cruise’s ability to make a good flick.
