My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Eye of the Needle.” Here is the screen version of Ken Follett’s novel and it fails not because of a bad screenplay adaptation, but poor production values and hideously bad acting by the entire cast. In “Eye of the Needle,” Donald Sutherland is a Nazi spy undercover in England. He’s known as “The Needle” for his stiletto and he has to get back home after discovering the secret of D-Day. Good premise, piss-poor acting. “Eye of the Needle” tries to be too many things and it doesn’t have enough talented actors to overcome its faults.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
