My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Freebie and the Bean.” Here’s one from the 1970s that has good chemistry between James Caan and Alan Arkin, but some of the racial name-calling doesn’t sit well today. Too bad because “Freebie and the Bean,” which is a cop story, has nice supporting turns from Valerie Harper and Loretta Swit. “Freebie and the Bean” can be found occasionally on the cable grid, but beware the racial banter.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
