My alphabetical posting of suggested films continues today with “Full Metal Jacket.” Here’s an iconic film about the Vietnam war and “Full Metal Jacket” is how many people learned about drill sergeants in the military. R. Lee Ermey gave the performance of his career but didn’t even get a Golden Globe nomination. “Full Metal Jacket” is simply outstanding from beginning to the end. It doesn’t have much in the way of positive things happening, but “Full Metal Jacket” is great American cinema.
I’m posting all my film reviews in alphabetical order and I’ve updated links and more on many of the reviews. Below is the link back to the full review.
